Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Believe us when we say these vegan chocolate chip cookies are seriously delicious. Made with our staple baking ingredients including coconut oil and coconut sugar, simply load up on the chocolate chips and bake to perfection.


260g Plain flour

¼ tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

50g + 2 tbsps Biona Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil

120g  Biona Organic Coconut Palm Sugar

1 ⅓ modified flax egg (4 tsps ground flax + 4 tbsps water, whisked together, set for 15 mins)

1 tsp vanilla extract

30g  vegan chocolate chips or dark chocolate


  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. 
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. 
  3. Add the coconut oil (melted) and coconut sugar to the mixing bowl. Add in the remaining wet ingredients: modified flax egg and vanilla extract. Whisk until incorporated, then fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Using a ice cream scoop, place balls of the cookie dough onto the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 8-12 minutes, until lightly golden. 
  6. Transfer baking sheet to a cooling rack. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes. Afterward, use a heatproof spatula to transfer cookies directly onto the cooling rack for to finish cooling. Enjoy!
