Chickpea Blondies

Serves: 8 Prep: 10_mins Cook: 30_mins


Whip up a batch of these super healthy blondies made with our organic chickpeas and surprise your guests with their secret protein filled ingredient!


1 can Biona Organic chickpeas (400 grams) drained and rinsed (use the aquafaba to make our delicious Eton Mess recipe)

45g Biona Organic almond butter

45g Biona Organic coconut sugar

5 tablespoons plain flour 

2 tbsp plant milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

60g vegan chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees on fan bake.
  2. Line a brownie pan with baking paper
  3. In a food processor or high speed blender mix the chickpeas, almond butter, plant milk, coconut sugar, plain flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. The mixture should be smooth.
  4. Once blended fold in the vegan chocolate chips
  5. Pour mixture into the brownie pan and bake for 25 minutes or until it starts to turn golden
  6. Remove blondie from the brownie pan and let cool for 30 minutes before cutting into. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
