Vegan Baked Cinnamon Doughnuts

These cinnamon coated doughnuts use our brand new dairy-free organic oat drink along with our maple agave syrup, almond butter and coconut sugar, they are vegan and unbelievably tasty. As they are baked rather than fried they're also that little bit better for you and the perfect mid-afternoon treat for both kids and adults.


130g plain flour or gluten free plain flour

½ tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder 

Pinch of salt 

1/2 tsp + 1/2 tbsp cinnamon

60 ml Biona Organic Maple Agave Syrup 

125 ml Biona Organic Oat Drink

3 tbsp Biona Organic Almond Butter 

1 tsp vanilla extract 

1 medium banana mashed 

100g Biona Organic Coconut Sugar 

Coconut oil for greasing,


  1. Preheat the oven to 180-degrees celsius. Grease a 6 hole doughnut pan with a little coconut oil. 
  2. In a large bowl, mash your banana until smooth. Stir in the Biona Oat Drink, Almond Butter, Maple Agave, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  3. Into the wet ingredients, sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and mix everything together to combine.
  4. Evenly spoon the mixture into the 6 hole doughnut pan.
  5. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool slightly and then remove from the pan to a wire rack to cool more.
  6. Make the cinnamon sugar by combining 1/2 tbsp cinnamon and Biona Coconut Sugar in a small bowl. Once the doughnuts have cooled enough to easily handle them, lightly brush each one with coconut oil and then roll them in the cinnamon and Biona Coconut Sugar coating.
