Due to current circumstances DPD are offering contactless delivery only (therefore no signature will be requested). If you are not available to take the delivery of your order, a card will be left notifying you that our courier has attempted delivery. Please note that DPD introduced a new policy in 2021 whereby if delivering to a residential address and the recipient is not home, parcels are instead left at a local DPD PickUp shop. This allows you to still receive your parcel on the expected day, whilst also reducing carbon emissions associated with redelivery attempts. Please enter your mobile number and email address on your account and our courier's will send you the tracking information for your order by text or email.

Sustainability
Many of our products are produced with renewable energy - even our London office runs off of renewable energy!
We never use air freight, which causes 40-50 times the CO2 emissions of sea freight. We only ever import our ingredients by land and sea.
Yes, all of our products are made with genetically modified free ingredients. This is the assurance you are getting when purchasing certified organic foods, where by law it is prohibited to use genetically modified ingredients in the production.
Please be assured that we only work with ethical suppliers who have strict codes of conduct against any form of discrimination or exploitation. We commit to the development and use of the highest ethical trade standards and policies.
Many of our products can be recycled. Please check the packaging for specific guidance. We are seeking alternatives that are better for the environment where possible.
Here at Biona, we are working hard every day to minimise the use of plastic in our products, and our goal is to be as sustainable as possible.
Many of our products are now available in glass jars that can be recycled/reused without any compromise to their structural integrity.
We have also started rolling out paper packaging across our pasta, rice and grain ranges.
Additionally, we are currently using paper and cardboard packaging filler to wrap our products.
We understand the concerns surrounding the use of plastic and we are passionate about this issue too. Rest assured we are doing our best to work with our production sites in order to find suitable alternatives.
Some of our products do contain palm-oil. We are aware of concerns with the use of palm oil/fat in products which is why we always make sure to use only sustainably sourced suppliers registered with the RSPO (the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil). We are working hard to find alternatives to palm oil/fat where possible in our products and we hope to be a palm oil free company in the future.
We regularly donate to City Harvest and Fareshare, supporting them in combatting food poverty and preventing food waste.

Our Nut Butters
As we do not use any emulsifiers in our nut butters, there can be a natural separation of the oil. If the nut butter jar is stored in a cooler environment, the level of separation can be more prominent. In this case we would usually recommend that you place the jar in a warm water bath for about 5 minutes to loosen the nut solids to make it easier to recombine the product.
